Who operates Maple

Maple is operated by Santiago Arriaga Armendariz. Contact thisisarriaga@gmail.com for support, privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests.

Your journal stays on your device

Your profile, immigration dates, travel history, timeline events, checklist progress and budget are stored on your device using platform secure storage. They are not automatically uploaded to Maple’s backend. Cloud journal synchronization is not enabled. The browser preview keeps entries in memory for the session. Separate local preferences remember the welcome animation and tutorial.

What your entries are used for

Your entries personalize tasks, display your timeline and calculate estimates. Maple does not access your IRCC account or collect GPS history, photographs, photo metadata or advertising identifiers. This build has no advertising or product analytics service.

Private AI sessions and security

Maple supports a private Supabase session without asking for email or password. Supabase creates a random account identifier and processes normal security and connection information. A session token is stored securely on the device. Maple’s backend stores that identifier, verified membership access and monthly AI usage counts. This does not synchronize your journal.

Ask Maple and OpenAI

After you enable the consent control and send a question, the question goes to Maple’s Supabase-hosted service and OpenAI to generate an answer. Your saved journal is not attached. Avoid passport numbers, application identifiers and other sensitive details. Questions and answers are held in the app’s screen state, not a persistent chat history. The server code does not deliberately log their contents. Hosting providers may retain operational and security logs.

AI processing and retention

Maple requests store:false from the OpenAI Responses API. This does not mean zero retention: OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring data under its API policies, generally for up to 30 days unless a longer period is legally required. API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default. Maple’s Supabase project is in Canada Central; OpenAI and support-provider processing may occur outside Canada. Provider policies and applicable law govern their retention.

Official links and feeds

Opening government links and refreshing public draws or news contacts those services, which receive normal connection information such as your IP address. Their privacy policies apply. Source links and dates do not guarantee that a generated answer or a stored snapshot is current.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases and payment details. Maple does not receive your full payment-card information. RevenueCat receives the app’s random account identifier, product and transaction information, subscription status and related device or connection information to verify access, restore purchases, prevent fraud and troubleshoot billing. RevenueCat and Apple retain information under their policies and legal obligations.

Export, correction and deletion

Edit journal entries in the app. Export trips as CSV or full local data as JSON from Days. Delete local entries in Profile. Delete an online session using Help & contact → Delete AI session (also available in Ask Maple); this separately removes the online account and individual AI access/usage records through the backend. Anonymous aggregate request counts remain. Exported or shared copies must be deleted separately. Deleting the app or its data does not cancel a store subscription.

How long information remains

Local data remains until you delete it or platform storage removes it; uninstalling alone may not erase secure storage. Online sessions and individual usage records remain until deletion. Purchase and entitlement records remain with Apple and RevenueCat under their retention policies and legal obligations. Provider backups and logs can persist under provider policies. Support emails remain in the support mailbox unless deleted; you can request deletion, subject to legal and security obligations. Do not email immigration documents unless specifically needed for support.

Your choices

AI is optional: paid tracking features work without sending questions. Turn off the AI consent control to stop future questions being sent; this does not recall requests already processed. Contact thisisarriaga@gmail.com about your personal information. Keep your device protected and retain exports; Maple cannot recover a lost local journal. No security measure is perfect. Material changes will be reflected in an updated notice before the affected feature is enabled.
